How to send automated emails via SendGrid

In case you disconnect and re-connect your SendGrid account, you’ll need to re-configure existing workflow actions.

  1. In a HubSpot Workflow, add SendGrid Connector’s “Send an email”.

  2. Select one of your existing SendGrid dynamic templates (read the official SendGrid docs to learn how to use them).

Select a Sender from your existing senders in your SendGrid account. The automation will apply the selected Sender’s name, from address and reply-to address to your emails.
Please make sure to configure these properties directly from the Senders section of SendGrid settings.

Optionally, you can select an Unsubscribe Group and Categories for your email.

In case your dynamic template has more versions, the Active one will be used.

Be sure to use the correct property internal name and standard placeholder syntax in your SendGrid dynamic template in order to trigger substitutions (e.g. {{property_internal_name}}) and that the properties you need to pass to SendGrid are allowed in the app’s settings as explained here.
