How to create a SendGrid API key

  1. Click SendGrid API Keys or select API Keys under Settings in SendGrid’s side menu.

  2. Click on Create API Key in the upper right corner

  3. Enter a name for your API key and set the permission level.

    You can either select:
    - Full Access if you’re creating a generic API (and you know what you’re doing)
    - Custom Access if you’re creating a dedicated API key for HubSpot

    If you’ve selected Custom Access, set the following permission scheme:

    • Category Management: Read Access

    • Mail Send: Full Access

    • Sender Authentication: Read Access

    • Suppressions: Read Access

    • Template Engine: Read Access

  4. Click Create & View. Copy the key (and paste it somewhere safe in case you need to copy it again in the future). You can now enter your new SendGrid API key in the SendGrid Connector settings panel and complete your setup.
