Easily embed Microsoft Stream videos into your Confluence page in a matter of seconds with Microsoft Stream for Confluence.


How to retrieve a Stream video URL

The URL of the video is the web address of the Microsoft Stream video you find in the address bar of your browser.

How to embed your Stream video into a Confluence page

Auto mode

  1. Copy the URL address of your Microsoft Stream video

  2. Paste it into your Confluence editor

  3. (Optional) Edit the viewer settings

Manual mode

  1. Copy the URL address of your Microsoft Stream video

  2. Open the Stream macro in Confluence

  3. Paste the URL of the video into the corresponding section

  4. (Optional) Edit the viewer settings

  5. Click “Insert”

If you want to paste the link without embedding the app, paste the URL into your page and perform the undo command (Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z).

The app may not work properly if cookies are disabled or blocked by your browser.
If you’re using Microsoft Edge, please make sure to set your tracking prevention level to Basic or Balanced.
Currently, support for Safari browser is limited.

Advanced settings

From the macro settings, you can set:

  • Start at – The viewer will start the video at the desired point

  • Show info – Show the video info on thumbnail

  • Width and height of the player

  • No labels
